hey im just woundering if anybody has done a manual gearbox swap for an EL XR6? is it true you have to swap the ECU's as well?

you can either swap ECUs, or if you don't wanna spend all that money and time searching for one, you can add two resistors ($0.28 for 8 at jaycar), which will give you pretty much the same result.

Basically its to make your car think that its in drive (idle speed), and that your gearbox is indeed within temperature spec.. (as both of those sensors on the auto box are resistance based).
