Why go that route??

1. Buy, El ecu, smartlock thingy, j3 chip and programmer.
2. install parts by unpluging old ecu with new one with programed j3 chip.
3. Something....
4. Use Profits to buy cam, bbm manifold etc for more powah!!!

you will have to buy a couple of resistors to run the ford TFI,
that's about all you need.

Would recommend buying the stimulator as well.

i did have trouble with the loom plug, i had an unsteady 12v supply, so i would buy a loom as well. Just the Short one and do a pin to pin mod on a EEC connector.

it will work fine, follow the tfi info on diyautotune.
We've got an au 6 in an XD also running msII
If you want the base map etc, pm me your email address.
It was running an EL ecu, installing the MSII made the engine a lot more responsive down low and through the mid range, well worth the cost.

On a side note, we've fit cleveland and 308 valves in an EB head, made solid lifters and getting a billit solid cam ground for it, be very interesting to see how it turns out.

This is one of the few instances that I would also recomend an MS over the EEC, simply because it is only going to run the engine side of things, and that it can have the WB02 input directly for data logging and you dont need any other equipment on board.

even if its an auto, its not hard to wire in aftermarket ecu's you just need to know what your doing.
Ive done a lot of ecu swaps using MSII's or EMS's and never had any probs with running the stock ecu for the auto and aftermarket for fuel and spark

go the msII, v3 - i recommend getting it from diyautotune

You also have the option of running 'extra' code for more features if required.
Do you also have a wideband 02?
If not, its probably worth getting an innovate LC-1 as well, to aid in tuning.

I can send you a base map to get you up and running when your ready...

yeh already have a wideband 02 sensor put in further down on the extractors running to a read out in the car. the ms11 v3 has way more than i need seems more like something for a road car with aircon and all the other stuff i don't have.
