i plan to run my efi 250 xflow on a new ecu and i landed my eyes on the megasquirt. I was wondering if it is any good and dose it support boost and all that fancy stuff? what are the problems that come with this?

id like to know if it worth the money to buy or not

id pay the $660 out right if it dose the job and supports the supercharger and all the motor mods (20thou bore, speedway cam, large injectors, another car air filter, etc)

That auction is for a megasquirt 1 on a V3 board. I personally think you are better off getting the MS2 as it has a much better CPU and that is where all the development work is going.

how hard it to solder it all together?
if it too easy ill proberly get it unmade but if there complercations during making it i just buy it pre built

The soldering isnt hard - just standard resistors, diodes, caps etc. If you would have no problem putting jaycar kits together I cant see you having any problems soldering this. There are pics in this thread http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25221 (all the surface mount stuff is done for you). PM me if you want some Hi-res pics of the board.

The instructions are pretty good as well. You assemble the unit in stages, and at the end of each stage you test what you have done. From memory you do something like this:

1. power circuits - then test voltage at different points on the board
2. communications circuits - then plug into computer, flash firmware, etc
3. Inputs - then connect sensors and look at values
4. Outputs - test with stim (if you have one) or put in car.

The only tricky part is working out what path to take through the instructions. The easy way out (which is what I did ) is just to install everything then use jumpers to switch the circuits you need.
