dont know much about ECU's but is there any way of getting more power out of an EL Falcon futura by using the ecu or would a chip be better.

i dont beleve u can flash that ecu, but just get a piggyback ecu that will work fine
but there other mods u can do before ecu

what other mods should i do befour an ecu piggyback to get more power

Modifying the EEC programing on a stock engine will not get you any decent power improvements, the reason you chip the EEC is to optimise it for the mods you have done to the engine already. Start with the basic things like a decent exhaust and extractors, then I would look at a cam upgrade.

but get the chip before the cam, or get both at the same time....

when i had my 6cyl el ex cop car i did the ticky snorkel,2.5 zorst one box,hi flo cat,ef pipe from back of airbox and a k&n filter.all that made a huge difference i reckon..
