hay all

my mates ef fairmont just had a new BCM placed in yesterday..

he bought a new keypad and we where trying to reprogram them in..

i have been told car has to be on accessories but here is the problem.. turn his key once (accessories) and nothing happens... he is getting no power like the car is dead on accessories turn it again to ON and it works...

what would be causing it to not work on accessories ????

not sure but i'd be taking it back to whoever fitted BCM, when i got mine replaced they programmed my new unit for me!

he said they tried to do it but failed looked into it but nothing was found at fault..

then he brought it to me..

i put the key in turned the key once (accessories) and nothing i was like well there is your problem...

we rewired BCM and still nothing ...

get the multi out and check the barrel, my suzuki hasent got acc the contacts are burnt out, i know thats a suzuki and a compeletly diff barrel, not sure how the ford barrels work but it could be worth a shot?
