I have just put a new fuel pump in my NA Fairlane and have a quick question.....

I kind of forgot to put the hose clamp back around the plastic ring when I put the new one in.

Is this going to cause any kind of problems, or should I open it back up and put it on?

The plastic ring is on very tight, and the pump is not moving, but am worried the clamp does something important.

don't worry about it,,my mechanic didn't put it back on mine and i've had problems with it.

you have? or havent?
