Dual fuel Factory (Tickford) LPG 280k I cannot get the effing thing to start Prehistory: Driving home Thursday: gave it a bootfull (on LPG) and it reved out to about 4500, backfied beautifully, coughed, and died!! Pulled over to edge of road, cranked motor, and it started (LPG) Drive on: Gave it another bootfull, (LPG) and it coughed, died and would not start. Called RACV, confirmed no spark: flatbed home ( ) Now, here is the progression: 1) checked interior light and fuses: all O.K.Checked rest of fuses, all good 2) Ran multimeter over all other fuses (e.g.: Main, Ign etc ) no problems 3)Changed TFI module (ignition module):no result: no spark!! 4) Changed coil: Ditto 5) [i]attempted to start, cannot hear injectors running when trying to start [i] but can hear fuel pump priming. What I have left to do is: a) change ECU relay (gotta spare ) b) change ECU (gotta a spare too ) in that order Is there anybody out there that has any other ideas?????? Gotta get the effing thing going this/ w/end |

Is it even cranking? If not, have you tried the BEM thump?

I have tried everything, including the BEM thump.
This morning I got to it, and the bloody thing started and ran well, both petrol and lpg. O.k. I thought, I will stop it and see if it starts again. Nothing...no spark again Cranks fine Changed ECU's (twice) no result Spark plug, when removed, is dry. I am thinking that fuel isn't getting thru?? But that wouldn't stop the spark power is to injectors Changed TPS, no difference Ran a diagnostic check, no fault codes evident I am at a total loss as to what it is. |
