Hi all, had a clutch and balljoints done today and when they went to start it to put it on the wheel alligner.......Nothing! Scantool showed a smartlock fault and my key fob wont lock/unlock the car. It'll crank but no spark. Now its stuck at Argy Tyres in Newcastle and I live an hour away! Where can I get a smartlock bypass and can I install it or is it a electrition job? I need it back on the road asap as its my daily! Any help greatly appreciated.

Yep, no luck, if I cant get it done tomorrow I'll be trying again tho. Dont think I tried hitting it and cranking at the same time. Just hit it then tried.

Dry solder points is usually the cause.

If you are tricky with a soldering iron, can do it yourself. If not just as you say, a smartlock bypass.

Check the loom, eg take out wiring loom, check connection and make sure nothing like water dripping on it etc
