Hey all. ..
Okay .... Just wondering, if an EF XR6 ECU will work in a EL XR6 Car? .. Now, I know the ef has coil packs, and the EL does not ... But iits going into a 5spd conversion . into a EL using running gear, and an EF XR6 T5 .. Will the ECU plug and play? .. need to know ASAP! .. |

nope
wont work at all. To start with, the EL is a 60 pin plug, the EF is a 104 pin plug.

Can fool the automatic ECU if finding a manual EEC is a problem... need to fool the trans temp link and the inhibitor switch reading.
By the sounds of it, you will need an EL XR6 Manual EEC... nothing else.
