Hi Troyman..
The JTG liquid gas injection system my car is booked in for in early new year will only work with up to 45 Lb injectors.. I don't know of any 45 pound injectors for ford, so I'm looking for 42 pound green giants to swap. Very annoyed as I was really excited about the deka's for a while. BTW, I have a AU fuel rail with XR6T reg on it if you know anyone that is looking.. no good to me anymore sadly. ( I got it from mr Troyman) cheers Frank Last edited by frankieh on Thu Nov 21, 2013 6:13 pm, edited 1 time in total. |

While on the subject.. I'm prepared to pay 1800-2000 for a T56 conversion (preferably from a BF or FG Xr6T) for a BA if anyone has one in good nick. needs to have all the under car stuff.. I can source a pedal box if needed.
If you are in Perth and it's good.. I can pay for it right now.. PM me. Also, if anyone has some nice nispro hd valve springs for BA/BF/FG and wants some 60lb injectors I'm interested in swapping.. (or buying the springs if the price is right.) |

Hi folks..
I've now flashed a new tune onto my Black oak PCM using a J2534 and Binary Editor.. it definitely worked.. I also used it to save my default tune... Fantastic news, I feel like a whole new world is opening up. Apparently i'm the first person to do this with a BA/BF falcon.. Other than Matt himself I imagine. cheers Frank |

Hi Bry40l..
I've upgraded the tune on my car multiple times and installed one on my mates BA Na.. so there is no problems with the tech. I have not purchased the open ended calibration file for the BA yet though, (because I'm planning to change to a BF PCM soon and they are not compatible.. that means that the list of things I can change myself is very small. Fortunately Matt has been great and spent a lot of time making sure my tune was good. I'd send him logs and he'd fine tune. Basically what you need to start playing with this stuff. 1. Mongoose or other ford compatible J2534 cable. 2. License to Binary Editor. 3. Laptop and battery charger (to keep the voltage up while setting with ignition on for prolonged periods) 4. Strategy and Calibration files. I always get them muddled up, but basically one is a list of rom locations for specific features of a rom and the other is a list of values to put in those places. If you have the open ended calibration file you can just make changes on the fly .. even while driving. (update, no you can't for BA/BF/FG, live tune is for QH) The one I have currently only really allows the complete upload of a tune. Will keep you posted.. but this isn't a really cheap way of doing a tune because the cost of all of those things adds up. It's as good as any other method though.. and there is no need to remove a tune to sell a car because unlike an SCT nothing is VIN locked and there is no limit to the number of tunes you can use the hardware for.
