All right guys, this has prob been asked a million times...but...

I'm thinking of running nitrous on my curent engine for some more fun at the track but i've read some very confusing info about the regulations, such as, sealed parcel shelf, rear firewalls. Due to stereo these are not a possibilty. anyone that can shed some light on this will be my new best friend :D :D :D :D

Thanks everyone

Trent

Sounds about right, NSW you can have the system installed, but not have the bottle connected, it must physically be disconnected (solenoid valves don't count).

Other states you can't have ANYTHING installed.

Or just fill you're chassis rails with mini bottles and run full stealth.*

*warning do not do this.

For the track, the NOS must be mounted in a sealed cabin(ie the boot), the NOS lines must not pass through the cabin, so must go under the car. If the bottle is mounted inside the cabin, then you must purchase the purge kit for the burst disc, so if the bottle does overpressure, then the gas will be vented to atmosphere, and lastly the system must have 2 arming switches, 1 to turn it on, and one for full throttle. Oh yea, and the on switch must be lit with a blue light(the holley kits come with a red LED when turned on, but you can get replacement switches that have blue lights). Hope that helps
Brett

Thanks for that Brett, you’re a gentlemen and a scholar.

One more question, I will be modding my interior soon and was wandering if it is possible to mount the tank in-between my rear seats (removing bench and adding 2 singles), is this a possibility or am I just asking for trouble?

Trent

you'd have to fit the blow down tube. i'd be putting it in the boot with the blow down tube just to be sure

Install them (two of the big ones) in the base of the passenger seat.
