Which MS are you running?
If you ran the MSII with the V3 board you could've used the IGBT circuit to drive your existing coils directly. Cheers

i'm actually using a megajolt LJ, as i'm running LPG i have no use for all the fuel management.
IGBT circuit has igniters?

...I forgot EFs had the igniters built in to the ECU. Sorry. No it makes sense lol. Good luck with it.
Let us know how the megajolt goes, seems interesting enough for people that love carbies and can't part with them (or LPG users I guess). Cheers

hahaha, beats paying for something you'll never use.
the megajolt is only $170US delivered assembled and tested. a lot cheaper then any other option.

...assembled. I just assembled my MSII V3, and it was awesome. Im building the MSII programmer now (the BDM interface), and Im building a custom circuit, allowing me to run the '908 and the HCS12 at the same time (not linked together though). So Ill be running the MSI and the MSII at the same time, using the MSI (with custom code) for just controlling the aux outputs/inputs. Things like nitrous control, traction, launch, fans, BBM, knock...etc. And I payed less than that for my MSII (not assembled).
Cheers

i'm lazy
i've built this kinda stuff before, but for the price difference i figure i might as well get it assembled and tested so i know theres no problems i'll have enough problem diagnosing problems as it is so this will just make life easier

lol, I find diagnosing problems easier after building it yourself. But yeah, makes sense if you just want to get it in there and working.
Are you completely getting rid of the EEC-V? Or just piggy backing it? Cheers

my cars an auto.. so its staying.
the EEC's limitations don't mean anything since both fuel and ignition will no longer be in its control so it'll just be minor things its taking care of. out of interest, what did ur full MS setup cost?

$130AUS at my door
I ordered a MSI V3 kit, but got the MSII isntead.. grippo said not to worry about it. Um, and then I bought all the components locally (apart from the daughter card obviously, and the MAP sensor). All the components, were paid for by a mate (cos Im building one for him). But the components, for mine and his, plus some spares ended up costing something like $120 or something. The extra '908 (MS1) processor is costing me another $20 from farnell(rip off), plus some random bits and pieces. Oh yeah, the stimulator got built on a piece of carboard, using the scematics ($20 all up for the stim). Hmm... I think that was all the costs. Im still yet to find a PCB mountable 37 pin connector for under the price of that manufcaturers franchise. So at the moment, its a normal 37pin connetor, with a s**t of wires running to it. I think thats about it. Cheers

ah yep.. so by the end of the day, mine will be cheaper
but urs can do more hehe. mine woulda been about $60 for the 'main' compoenents and board etc. and then getting the rest of the stuff and assembling it.
