im looking at getting a piggy back chip for an ef falcon
im wondering what price am i looking at and where in sydney can i get a good one. also what else do i have to tell the guy thats puttting it in

nah they wanted to sell me some 5000 buck unit when all i wanted to do was get a chip. they didnt take the hint i diidnt want to pay 5 large lol

Does crescent motorsport do a unichip? More of an interceptor than a piggy back....

But it seems like Joe looks after the sydney fordmodders....

Joe doesnt do unichips, Granville Autotech do, and i highly recommend them for a unichip install. These things are not cheap, and every time you mod something on the engine, be prepared to spend another 350-500 for a retune, so do all the mads you want done first then fit the unichip. You have been warned.

Chiptorque is half the price but you have to fit it yourself and its with an off the shelf program. You can get it custom tuned as well though if you wanted to.

Just a thought OBS35N ( IT'S A 8TH OF THE COST OF UNICHIP ) - AND YOU OWN YOUR HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE NO CATCHS TO PURCHASE

you can use megasquirt as a stand alone or piggyback ECU realtime programmable ECU by yourself rather than running back to the unichip agents who have the software to do the so called programming ( just really modifying the incoming signals from your cars sensors to fool your cars ECU ) and charge like WOUNDED bulls , ALSO WITH UNICHIP YOU ARE STUCK IN A REV RANGE THAT UNICHIP CAN NOT MODIFY ie if your cars ecu is rev limited at 5500 RPM and your engine makes more power at a higher rpm you can not alter it adds more cost again . Every time you do a modification to your vehicle you have to see the unichip agents who on stricky contract policy by unichip melbourne APS ( air pumps australia ) can not give or sell you the software and pissy little black box that jions there unichip to a laptop now i know why APS owner drives a latest model porsche PMSFL. When you buy haltech, 3D wolf , microctech, altronics and motec the top of the line system you recieve the software wifth ECU you have purchased wander what happen to a equal playing field WOT A JOKE PMSFL..

for one of my projects at the momment Falcon EA 4lt turbo C10 auto 9in diff

Have just made a transmission adaptor for V8 C10 transmission to ford EA to AU 6 cylinder blocks also have made all the jigs and tooling to modify 9 inch differentials to suit the E series falcons
