I'm in the process of finishing swaping a full El interiour and wiring loom into my Ed. One of the problems I have run into is that the loom came out of a 98 El which had a different fuel pump plug (Au type). I got an Au pump and cage which suits the connector but the cage off the pump is too big to fit into the fuel pump well of the Ed tank.

I guess I'm wondering if there is any way of swapping the fuel pump well for an Au well. I dont think there is but I could be wrong.

So my options are

1. Use Ed pump and cage and just alter the wiring on the El loom to suit.
2. Swap to an Au fuel tank. Not sure if they fit under an Ed.

Not keen on swapping tanks so if I can wire up the Ed pump I think it might be the way to go if the pump wells cant be swapped.

Anyone come across this before?.

The well is part of the petrol tank and cant be swapped. However you could run an EL tank, and eithier get a late EL fuel pump (like the car your wiring loom would have come out of) or MAYBE the AU pump fits an EL tank, I'm not sure, but the EL tank will fit the ED. In my opinion though, it would be alot easier to modify the wiring to suit your existing fuel pump.

As said before just cut the plugs off and solder the wires together. Much easier than changing a fuel tank lol

Wow, you're more dodgier than a tight a*** asian/jew.

Just buy a new plug from JayCar that fits the ED fuel pump plug and wire it up properly...or use the old plug from the old wiring loom.

I'm going to cut the Au plug off and fit the plug off my loom. It's the easiest option. Was just checking what other people have done just incase I had not thourght of something.

Cheers guys.
