I seem to recall that one of the auto xr's may be limited, auto 8's or auto 6's.

I may be imagining things though.

I wouldn't mind having my limiter removed so I can get decent power runs on the dyno before hitting it, but then again, I can just get the operator to run it in 3rd :)

My XR Auto was limited. So to be discovered that it wasnt an XR ecu! My mates XR6 Manual isnt limited but definately get the Tickford Tail Shaft. Atleast that way, if you ever do anything stupid, your not gonna pole-vault!

EF and EL XR Auto's were speed limited, Manuals were not.

Not sure if the same applied to EB/ED/AU though

Of course there's like 100 reasons for the speed limiting!!! if you're gonna be doing those kinds of speeds you've got a lot of things to check in your car beforehand.

Of course someone with a go cart is going to say that! :D

Usually, the falcon suspension is pretty hardy. You dont wann be running 15" Rims, you dont wanna move the steering wheel, you dont wanna be doing over 180 in the first place unless your going down the strip, around a circut or nowhere when your on the dyno!

BTW, I am not having a go at anyone. I my self was curious as to the speed limiter at one stage. I have also hit the limiter many times before but at the same time, I am realising that it is a stupid thing to do and I am slowing down! I am saving my car for the strip and the dyno
