Yes, short answer.
Long answer, it's alot of expense JUST to remove the speed limiter, and most 'chips' should be able to do the same thing. I recommend at least getting an XR Tailshaft before you do. Standard tailshaft doesn't like to spin that fast.

Yep, they don't have speed limiters AFAIK. Still, change tailshaft before you do IMHO!

Yeah, it might be, once, twice, maybe even a hundred times. But I wouldn't want to be the one driving a car if the tailshaft fails at 180+. At the VERY least, make up a tailshaft loop at each end.

Yeah I understand what you're saying
Gotta find me a cop computer now.. seems like it'd be the cheapest option. |

Since you don't live in the NT, why do you want it removed? Where can you safely do 180+? If your cought doing that speed you'll be doing time in a lil cell with bubba in most state.

Standard tailshaft doesn't like to spin that fast. Okay, then XR ECU must not be speed limited, based on the XR Tailshaft principle. The other thing is, I have had my tailshaft balanced at a professional place, therefore you would think it as suitable for higher speed. What do you think ?

As for having your standard tailshaft balanced and it's suitability for speeds over 180km/h, I don't really have the knowledge to comment. The guys who balanced it should be able togive you a definitive answer.
