I read somewhere that I need to disconnect the negative battery terminal when I am replacing the ecu, if I disconnect the positive and negative will that be alright or does the pos stay connected for some reason? I have to replace the terminals at the same time and install an amp, so I thought I would do the lot with the battery fully disconnected.
Any help would be great Rob |

Thats why I thought I would completely disconnect the battery and do the amp install and replace the terminals while I am at it cos you guys are right, the deck I have you have to change the time/demo off ( it gives me the s**t)/reset the equalizer etc etc. Didn't get a chance to install the amp though as it got too dark and it was raining the whole time and my sheds full and so is the driveway so I cant be bother moving one car to get another car out to get another car out of the garage to put the wagon in the garage. Pissing me off though, the amp will be done this weekend!
I ended up doing the complete disconnect and it was fine, just thought I would ask as I was worried maybe the positive needed to be connected so the ecu could read other ecu's like bcm etc, thought it was a stupid question but you never know with ecu stuff. Thanks guys Rob |
