No, its an air compressor for the airhorns. I use a fuel filter as an airfilter for the compressor.

Are you using an intercooler?
Although it is a great piece of fabrication, That pipe looks like a whopping great heat sink. |

HAHAAHAHAHAHAH... OMG HAHAHAAHAHAHA....
MATE! That's just so much like a boy racer type.... The free flowing pod to a turbo on extractors and no thought given to temps or clean air input... Hahahaha. Great stuff. Keep that photo. It's priceless... No matter how good your intercooler, it's never going to right that particular wrong. Hahahahaaa... Maybe if you tried water injection it'd help with that? Although at that rate I'd suggest it would be steam and vapourised by the time it got to the manifold. Hells bells.... Did you ever notice the thing pre-igniting? Since you've got endless supplies of stainless, maybe you could put the pipe through a wall near the pod so the pod doesn't suck in the radiator expelled air? Seems a bit backwards to be using the intercooler and the radiator and the air which goes through is then picked up by the pod..... Nice pipe tho! Im with FRANKIEH on wanting to try one of the Subaru WATER > AIR intercoolers. But then again, I'm never going to have forced induction at the pace I'm currently setting. |

Sorry Mr Sexy 6. I *did* read that when you originally posted it, but since it is on a previous page and I am obviously a scatter brain, it didn't make it to the actual side of the brain that survives more than four hours. Sorry, you are quite right. Here's mine again, replace that horrible blue flexi pipe... If I gave you a measurement of about 430mm and an angle of about 30 degrees (ie - about two thirds of 45 degrees) and suggested that you could make a 3" (or thereabouts) pipe and solve me yet another car issue................ |
