Since you've got endless supplies of stainless, maybe you could put the pipe through a wall near the pod so the pod doesn't suck in the radiator expelled air? Seems a bit backwards to be using the intercooler and the radiator and the air which goes through is then picked up by the pod.....

Perhaps reading my original post first would be a good idea

here's mine not quite finished... going to make up some sort of sheilding around the pod, and make another bracket for the pipe off of the motor someware..

s**t. Sorry Mr Sexy 6. I *did* read that when you originally posted it, but since it is on a previous page and I am obviously a scatter brain, it didn't make it to the actual side of the brain that survives more than four hours.

Sorry, you are quite right.

Here's mine again, replace that horrible blue flexi pipe...

If I gave you a measurement of about 430mm and an angle of about 30 degrees (ie - about two thirds of 45 degrees) and suggested that you could make a 3" (or thereabouts) pipe and solve me yet another car issue................

NO WORRIES Mr Fiend, ol pal, ol friend..

yeah that is kinda what i'm looking at doing..

CAI pipe from front of bumper (below numberplate) feeds through the hole in front of the snorkel.
Snorkel is a BA V8 item I got from FTG Auto Salvage via eBay, with the mouth cut open further and a bit of shiny paint.
EF airbox body has a hole cut in the front-facing side with some mesh covering the hole (the mesh came from the back of an old air filter).
Airbox lid has the snorkel cut down shorter to make for a bigger hole (less taper) and the edge has been smoothed into a bellmouth shape as per original. Snorkel is about 2" long now.
There's a piece of PVC pipe filling the gap between the airbox and the BA flexpipe. Covering it is some more CAI pipe left over from the front intake pipe.
The BA intake bend and flexpipe came from a wreckers' and was only $25! Gave it a cleanup; came up mint.

It's VHT engine enamel, and the colour is Ford Light Blue (the cap looks darker than the paint does!).

Bit of an update on my intake setup, now have the intake hose hooked up from the front bar up thru the guard and into the lower airbox.. Pod inside the box with a 3" mandrel bent alloy pipe connecting it to the BA intake hose.. Seems to flow about as good as it can get at the moment
