Hate to burst your bubble but plenty more people with plenty more money than yourself have proved you wrong.

Sorry Bubble boy! But air speed has an effect between the throttle body and the inlet valves. Not between the air filter and the throttle body...

after changing the EF intake over to a 3" pipe, it actually gained torque through removing the restriction!

well if it increases low end torque then why not retro fit it to your AU?

You're both wrong. But there's no point in trying to explain it.

heres mine, went to super cheap and made up a intake pipe from a 180deg bend (had to cut a bit off the end), 3 silicon joiners, 90deg silicon join and 2 straight pieces off 3" pipe, also used the ef join the goes from throttle body to intake cos the 3" silicon wasnt big enough to fit over the throttle body, also have a pod in the box, and the silicon join rubed on the bonnet so i put some foam where it rubbed and its all good
i can hear it sucking lol

Hi guys

Keen to do this to my EF, but it is on gas with a mixer. Does this completely stop me from putting in new pipe for the intake?
