{USERNAME} wrote: Hi guys Keen to do this to my EF, but it is on gas with a mixer. Does this completely stop me from putting in new pipe for the intake? you can do it, but the mixer is the weakest link so you're not going to notice a lot of difference. I'm working on something to improve the flow on mine... might be worth doing something similiar yourself. {DESCRIPTION} |

if u guys can get the POD filters outside the engine bay its going to cause an increase in horse power and increase fuel useage, best positions i have heard of, is cutting a hole through the wheelarch and runnin a pipe to behind the bumper barfor a pod installation, downside on a wet day it won't be too good for engine. Another is to run the pipe through the fire wall into the cabin and turn the airconditioning on coldest setting possible !

Dude, the air con compressor uses like 10-20hp, any gain you get from cooler air is going to be NOWHERE near the loss associated with the compressor + if its actually hot the air con will do squat all as the engine will be constantly sucking air in (and oh god the intake noise...). Thermodynamics yo! read it . |

Thermodynamics yo! read it . not to mention finding a place for it to enter.. and f**k you wouldnt want a LPG backfire... burn your balls with that s**t lol... and with mounting a pod low your f**k in flood water. as many of us including myself in january learnt quickly what can and cant drive through the flood water. mine was stock intake and i still took on water, kept going due to LPG. pod filters behind front bar = bad... and providing its boxed being in an engine bay there is no issue with heat |

Both those ideas require cutting a 2.5" -3" hole somewhere through the metal of the car. At least if you put it through the bonnet you can use a s**t spare bonnet for the drags or whatever and save your original one. |

just wondering, is it legal for a P plater to cut the hole in air box when running a pod filter?

hi, just put a new intake on my ef. pod filter and 3' piping. Now is it better having the pod in the standard box with a improved snorkle such as the au tickford ones. or is it better having the pod in no box at all?

Pod in the box, orelse panel filter, gona have my pod in the box, thinking of getting a panel, having the pod is just to hear the induction noise, i believe the panel is the way to go, my opinion |

Hi guys
Looking at putting metal piping instead of my EF intake setup but I'm not sure if it is possible due to having gas. Il show you guys a pic of the current setup, but I know I have a mixer that obviously sits in between the throttle body and the bbq plate. Do you think its possible to setup metal piping from the rubber connection already there? Or even putting a BA intake on the other side of the mixer ? |

yes it is possible to take it from the other side of the rubber joiner
