Alright thanks, With the mixer, its safe to disconnect the left side of the rubber connection just to see if the BA will fit? Another question with the BA intake is that there is a little plastic section that looks like a hose is meant to connect to it, what is that exactly meant for?
. Do you think I will need to change the mixer at all ? Also, would that be a 3" connection or less? Cheers Daniel. |

I've got an EL with gas as well, just yesterday I put the whole BA intake on, took out the mixer and kind of disconnected the gas system temporarily. But I noticed there's kind of a pointless factor if you're running gas and getting a new intake.. the mixer pretty much makes your whole intake bottleneck a bit so it's no real point putting the new intake on :\

Yeah thats what I was thinking. I guess i just want to get rid of my EF style one because of looks.
Did you have any issue when fitting the BA intake at all ? Also did you have to modify the BA box to fit ? |

Haven't fitted the box yet.. Just the snorkel and hose, it fits easily, just have to stretch the pipe to reach the airbox from the t/b

awesome, yeah lined mine up just then and will need to stretch it. Do you think I will need to change my mixer at all ? and is there any dangers in disconnected my current setup up and setting up the BA intake?

Not sure on the mixer yet haha. I'm heading down to the local gas place and asking them for advice whether the old mixer will work otherwise ill just get one to suit a BA.
There aren't any dangers, all I did was shut the valve on my gas tank and put a plug on the hose that leads into the now removed mixer. Just make sure you don't try to run it on gas otherwise... yea lol. The first thing I noticed when I took the mixer out and put the new intake was a way better sound AND got more torque up to about 4k rpm when it only used to last to about 2.5k rpm |

Yeah I thought that about the performance without any mixer setup, Id love to take my car for a spin without the gas setup just to see how it runs as I bought the car on gas.
So at the moment you dont have the mixer in between the intake and throttle body at all ? Do you think I will come across any problems when re fitting the mixer on the intake piping as long as it all fits ? And do you know what the little plastic needle type thing that comes off from the BA intake piping is used for ? |

Mixer is totally out and is in the boot with the old intake piping, just in case for some reason I have to put it back on lol.
As I said I'm not 100% sure if the mixer will fit inside the BA intake which is why i'm going to see a gas installation place to find out. But until then I'm just going to enjoy this new found power until I end up putting it back in Attachment: That thingo I'm not sure what it's for. I just drilled a hole into the new pipe and put the brass fitting into it then connected it back up, chucked a bolt into the hole to block it edit: Don't know if anyone else has what i'm talking about lol |

you can block off the factory holes and run them to the intake or block off the intake.

this works well haha, looks a bit dodgy though, might end up cutting it off and melting the hole shut or something.
