haha, melting it shut will look even worse.
you could try running a tube off it to somewhere where you cant see, and then terminate it....

Hey guys

intake is slowly coming together, wanted a BA intake, have one but need to grab the box for it, might go wreckers and pick one up. But atm im setting up the EL intake and having a little bit of an issue with the mixer. My question is, when looking at the image below you will see my mixer and coming off that is some gadget that throttles the gas ( i think )

I want to swap the hose around and do you think that if this gadget is closer to the converter will this make a difference ?

Ahh nice setup. Where did you get the metal joiner from ?
I would put the BA intake but at the moment im struggling to fit the intake to the manifold due to the gas converter that is in the intake.

It's just a straight 3" pipe from super cheap . With a silicon joiner inside to take up the slack.
3.5 pipe would of Been a tighter fit .

You could put the mixer where the gap is or up further .

Yeah I'm really not sure how to modify the mixer to make it fit at all, cause I was keen to do piping from the manifold to the box, but yeah was unsure on what to do with the mixer

ps. what do you use to clean your engine ?

It was clean like it when I got the car. But I just use a damp cloth to keep it clean .
If it's dirty u can use spray on hose off degreaser

I had a similar set up on mine. Used to rub on bonnet and bbm.

i know you wont like to hear it but either get a rubber mallet and massage the guard thats under the airbox.or a strong heat gun and melt out the tip thats under the airbox.you have to be a bit dodgy but it will fit.

Yep, sure does unfortunately. The 3" joiner that sits over the BBM is the main one that fouls on the underbonnet bracing, and the 180degree bend just fouls towards the back on the bonnet bracing. I just stuck some of this adhesive foam-type weather strip on the areas of the bracing that touch and it seems okay for now.
