i have had a look through this thread, but cant find anything really...
um i have an AUII XR6 and am in the middle of putting a BA XR6T snorkle/piping on it, but want to see how much effort/how to put a CAI point in the front bar? if anyone has done it on an AU (or more specifically AUII XR6 Ute) i would very much like to see/hear about it...

thats a bloody big filter, it would be sucking in hot air from the thermos off the radiator? or do you have a cover on the bottom? hows it going so far ? :)

doesnt seem to get too hot cos i have a scoop at front directing air into it. im getting a second one to give it a better flow and keep it cool. it definately sounds great and has made low end take off a little quicker. fuel consumption isnt much worse then before

that intake would perform exactly the same with a std side filter on the end of it...

does the filter clear the bonnet?

it just does because it pushes down slightly towards the thermo's due to its shape, a bit of it hangs over the top of thermos to collect air from front grill. i put a piece of plastic all the way accross the front grill to force the air up and into that filter

that etup would be great if you could make a box around the under side of the filter while keeping the top half open for the fresh air!

so i cut my old slash shield i was going to throw out cos it was buggered. fitted it into the area behind the grill and screwed it in place, cut out to of front grill to let more air in and this is the result, noticed it right away and pod never got hot after driving for 30 mins around town

Nice Gezza. How restrictive would the factory rubber pipe be straight off the T/B there?
