Quite like the pod box... Was that hard to mount in the E series engine bay?

I haven't actually ever seen one in person to see how it mounts up...

Cheers,
Tim

Growler and Big Mouth. Nothing special but sounds wicked.

It fits fairly easy, it's surprising how big they actually are though; when I first picked it up I thought it wasn't going to fit lol.

I'm using the factory mounting bracket that comes with the pod box which makes it easier. I've lined the bottom mounting point up with the factory location (mounting hole on the bracket needs to be drilled out larger to fit the bolt through), then bent the bracket to form around the inner guard contour a bit better and to sit the box a little bit lower without fouling.

The box is mounted to the bracket as per factory (2 bolts hold it to the bracket) and when the intake piping is connected, the box is secured in place. You could probably make something up to join the bracket to the the upper mounting points for the factory airbox, but it was pretty sturdy without it so I didn't bother :)

Just my stock standard au2 intake but not for long, looking to open up the front of my airbox find the right size funnel to modify n join to the front of the box to use as a snorkel behind the left hand light. Then paint and 3" induction tubes with k&n panel filter

Finally got a better intake for my car. 3" stainless steel, mandrel bend S/S, silicone bend to throttle body, flexi pipe to join S/S cuts, Spectre POD filter in the box, EL GT snorkel. Got the lot, minus the POD for $40 off a wrecked Fairmont. Pretty good, I reckon. My car goes way better now, definitely worth it.

Hey everyone,
Just read through the whole 49 pages and have seen some killer setups. Didn't see many for V8's so I figured I'd post mine up. Straight bit of 3" intercooler pipe and a 45 section of hose, cut the long ends off the 45 and used one to attach the pipe to the MAF as well (total cost about $50-60). Still need to upgrade away from the stock EL snorkel, hopefully find a GT snorkel somewhere. Can anyone confirm it will miss the power steering pulley?

Cheers.

here is one for the people that swear by pod filters,i know with mods we do sometimes it is necessary for them in terms of space etc, this is for those that swap over thinking they will get cheap quick power increases for 20 bucks watch and learn that there is no cheap power in what we do http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAIxeQUSg-Q
