My smartshield light is playing up, need help.

It flashes normally when it is in the off position,

but

stays on when in the "ON" or "START" position. Car cranks but won't fire up.

The car should be called "Frankenstien". EBII GLi skeleton, AU T2 220kw heart, AU2 brain, EF/EL for everything else.

Both keys are freshly programmed, but I will try the second, cheers fairmont1998

Is the alarm that came with the engine working correctly? The 'on' state is actually a code.. You can ask ford and see what it means if you haven't already done so.
