a quick question i need to replace my injectors or clean them is there any advantage by putting au injectors in its a eb 4 litre .and the price of $50 per injector for au ones from a wrecker a good price or not .any help would be good using a bit to much petrol i think the o2 sensor is going bad as well .

Nah, dont worry about different injectors until your getting into alot more power

well id just clean them using a on car system as it also cleans the valves too, and when people say u have to pull them out as it better its a load of s**t. u dont need to flow test them.
why do u think ur 02 sensor is going bad. although they should be replaces every 100k or so as they do were out as bosch did tell me. |

is the fuel economy the same between the two because im doing about 5-600 km per week and economys becoming important.

Fuel econemy is more related to electrics and ignition. If the injectors were clogged up it would run leaner... Just change all the usual ignition parts if you havnt done so already

the cars just clicked over 300,000km and as far as i know the o2 sensor is original and the injectors are leaking when the cars not running when i start it it smokes run rough for a while and stinks of petrol and when warm the idle is rough and a small amount of smoke comes from the exhaust

well it sure will help ur econemy also get the throttle body cleaned, and reset adaptions in the ecu, will make a huge difference in how it runs, especially if its never been done and has alot of km on it.

what chef said is not really true, it wont run leaner, because the o2 sensor will see there is more oxygen in the exhaust and tell the ecu that it need more fule to compensate, when there dirty they dont spray a fine mist as they should so then the fule doesnt atomise as good so therefore doesnt all get burnt meaning high emissions, higher fule conemy, less power and for u more fule.

might try reseting the computer the engine was rebuilt a few months ago was running like a rocket before now lost power and is the computer reseting just disonecting the battery for a couple of hours just want to be sure

not sure depends on car, usually either have to put in on a tester or bridge pins on the obd plug, some cars u can disconnect the batt for a while.

Well, if the injs are leaking then its a bigger job than just a tune up. The Orings will need replacing so that means the injectors come out... might aswell have them cleaned properly while they are out

yeh thought injectors would be coming out the cars just eb2 4 litre will diconect it over night see what happens tomorow

if the o rings are leaking that doesnt mean they leak fule it means they leak air into the combustion chamber. o rings just hold them into the manifold. and with as u say clean proberly iv done both heaps of time on car and out, and i can say that on car is works better as it easyer cleans the valves as well, which make a huge difference.
if there leaking because of a crack then yes u will have to replace them if its because there dirty 99 % of the time on car will fix it to new |

So if you use the on car system how can you tell that each injectors have been cleaned completely? or just enough for the car to run smooth? I've used both systems in the past, and the carbon-clean (on car) system lasted only about 6 months. when I have taken the injectors out and had them cleaned it has lasted years. As for the differance in price Carbon Clean $140 Remove injectors myself and have them cleaned $120 Have the workshop remove and clean them $180.

well we charge 90 for on system, and we then hook it up to the dis tester and check how each cyl is working better than a flow test. and save more than half the time
