Good work.. if you plan to use that coil pack you'll need new leads..

The plug is different between our coil packs and the one shown in that picture.

No, they dont have a firing order.

haha no worries mate, I wasn't going to buy it at that price anyway! :) The same guy sold one last week for $42 but someone was bidding heaps for this one.

How much was shipping ? We really only need the EDIS module itself and not the coil packs (which I imagine could be on the heavy side)

Nah not yet, I'm just monitoring ebay for bargains :) I don't think I'll bother converting to dizzy so I'll just keep my eye out for a cheap edis O/S or else buy one through that link unclewoja posted or a few others around

so as long as the eecv is getting the rpm signal even tho i am controling the spark and fuel with ms it should still work yeah?

tell you what the eecv aint gonna be doin much when im finished lol

waggin - you still got the eecv in your rig controling the airbags and other little s**t, does your central locking still work

its just the smart lock anti theft (stops hotwiring) from working yeah

I've chosen to totally remove the EEC-V from my EF Wagon. The trip computer no longer functions and the tach on the instrument cluster is yet to work (will eventually hook it up to the tacho out on the motec).

Everything else still works honky!

The smartlock functionality which you will lose is the Fuel Injector/Spark cut which is done via the ECU. Theres no way around this if you choose to have the MS controlling spark and fuel. You will still be protected by smartlock to some degree, as the engine wont crank unless smartlock is deactivated correctly.

The BBM butterflies are swiched by a vacuum actived thing-a-magiggy on the front of the manifold.. the vaccum is controlled via a solinoid which sits under the gusset panel behind your washer bottle, from meory this is triggered by sending 12V down the said wire. You should be able to activate this using the MS, it should have aux outputs which can be triggered under certain conditions.
