Hi guys, just about to change the tps on a el bbm. My question is will the new one line up with the throttle body blade or do you have to rotate the sensor? If so is there a correct direction to do this? Thanks

unless im mistaken, it should only fit on one way.. if not, grab a smallish screw driver and CAREFULLY spin it around so its the right way, its just like an analog volume control, itll only turn 3/4 of a full circle so if it doesnt wanna turn dont force it, turn turning it the other way

Yep, it can only be installed in 1 position. It's non adjustable (except for those who elongate the holes to make some fine adjustments).

Thanks for the help, i took it off to clean it and ended up with a stumble just as you hit the throttle. I tried a multimeter and it has voltage but does not increase and shows no resistence.
I'll replace the switch and post the outcome later. Cheers, Ray |

I installed a second hand tps and everything is back to normal. For some time my ute suffered with rev hang and that's gone also. Thanks for the replies, hope i can help too in the future.

Do you know what model has the elongated holes just in case i'm away and need to find one? I've only looked for EL parts previously, would be good to know what else fits.

In the case you do get one with elongated holes, all you need to do is ensure that the TPS output voltage back to the EEC is under 1V (.99 or .98 is good) with the throttle closed. You can also test the voltage at WOT which should be over 4.5V

Thanks for the info, i was checking on ebay and saw some from usa much cheaper but wasn't sure if they were compatible. I like to try and buy local in case of returns, but also know the people your dealing with. Today i dealt with Currumbin Spares and was happy with there willingness to help with my problem. Anyone from the Gold Coast area could try these guys for parts,i will shop there in the future for sure.
