I have an XH XR6 ute, 96 model. It is starting for about 3-5 seconds and than stalling whilst parked on my driveway. There is a red light in the centre of the dash that comes on, its a circle with an (i) in the middle. Having little knowledge I can only presume it may be the computer. If any of you guys have any idea of any problems like this and what is causing it, your help would be appreciated. I have checked the basics, fuses, that it has petrol, battery charged etc an they seem to be fine.

The (i) indicates a brake failure, but that will come on when the ingition is turned on and will go off once the car is started. In you case it will stay on because the car is not starting. Is your car dual fuel and have you had any work done on it recently?

Gotcha PM. Check that the dual fuel switch on the dash is not in the middle turing both fuels off. It needs to be either fully up or fully down. I think you will find this may be your problem???
