there's a few in the 'Other' folder iirc. This is by far the best: http://www.austincc.edu/cloud/efi/eectch98.pdf

Sweet, I'll give that a read..
I'm supercharging my EL motor, and wondering if this has the potential to perform the same tasks that a capa switch chip would.. meaning if I could locate the problem areas (ie rev ranges where the mixture was abit lean.) I could fix them by editing the fuel table? Do you know of anyone that has edited the bin for a turbo or other forced induction for an EL or EL motor? rgds Frank |

I have heard of ChipTorque doing custom bins for boost (this was a manual EA). Heaps of US guys do SD or MAF based tunes with boost.
You can most certaintly alter fuel tables, and probably override the ~12psi fuel cut in the standard bin (by editing the MAP scalers). I think it would work best with some kind of rising rate reg (8:1 or something).

ALready have a Walbro GS342 high volume/pressure fuel pump and rising rate regulator.. just trying to cover all my bases..
What do you mean by the 12PSI fuel cut? |

What rate is your reg?
I have not experienced it, but apparently there is some kind of fuel cut when the ECU gets confused by boost. From most reports it occurs somewhere between 12 and 15 psi, but it seems to depend on car/ecu. As I said I believe you will be able to scale it out so it shouldnt be a problem.

I don't know what the rate is to be honest. It's one of these:
http://www.drdrift.com.au/onlineshop/pr ... bskvirucp2 Though I only paid 50 bucks for it. As for the boost, I'm only aiming for about 10 psi, so doubt I'll hit that wall anyway. You have a great deal of useful info about all this.. you should write a fordmods tech doc (or use your own site) and detail your work.. Capa have made a fortune from people not knowing what you've learned.. rgds Frank |

I have been detailing my work on installing EL computer to stealth mounting the supercharger etc.. so yes, I will detail any changes I make to the ECU as well.
have a lot of learning to do in that regard though. |

I found this today..
http://www.moto-one.com.au/performance/ ... ction.html Its not ford specific, but it's pretty good at explaining what some of the tables mean and general theory. |

Masier,
If it were me, i'd look at putting an EL ECU into it, so you can use the EL Tickford LPG binaries (or at least the timing tables from them). If you use the EL Tickford binary you can look at wiring up the Fuel Select input so you can switch timing maps for petrol/lpg just like the factory setup. Jason

They do work well with aftermarket LPG systems like Impco.

hmmm, dunno about XH, but this is interesting.
http://www.fordmods.com/forums/ef-el-ec ... 30186.html Lists 33TB as an XG XR6 ecu.. And this software: http://www.pcmx.net/pcmx/dl/ lists it as a supported ECU with provided files. |
