We are awaiting parts from our component supplier, who is about to get dumped due to their slack delivery!
As soon as we get the parts we will be able to assemble chips and have them available. The message was put up a week or so ago, i'd guess another week until we have something - but again, its dependent on the component supplier. As we are only dealing with extremely low volume it is hard to find good suppliers and keep the costs reasonable. Jason

Its not that easy to put a figure on it.
I think many forum goers underestimate how many hours i've poured into this definition. It would have to be in the hundreds of hours now - including countless hours at the computer and countless tests in my own car. This doesnt even count the help i've had from others, without which i'd be nowhere! I've been at this for over 2 years now, long before anyone else knew of my efforts and a lot longer before I started selling the hardware to make it a reality for a reasonable price. At the current prices, selling a programmer or two does not recoup anywhere near enough of the costs associated with producing a definition. I do not make much money out of sales, especially if you factor in the time spent packaging, postage, etc etc. Anyway, enough ranting. There are a few guys on FFAU who have talked about working on AU 6cyl defs. I only have one AU bin dump at the moment - I would need a few more before I got started on a def. I am more than happy to dump AU ECUs if anyone in melb has some and wants to come out my way - just PM me. This will help those guys along - and I will help wherever I can. Jason

i have a 'what if' question.
is it possible for me to send you my chiptorque J3 chip so you could 'burn' the EXACT file/tune (or whatever it may be called), and you copy it onto one of your own J3 chips, and then it will be exactly the same? i ask because in the future i might want to remove and use my chiptorque for another car, and wish to still keep my current car tuned same time. cheers. also what would you charge for this scenerio? |

yes, this is possible. contact me for further details. if anyone lives in vic and is after a custom tune i suggest you give CVE Performance a call, as they now do custom dyno tuning using our hardware and software.

it doesnt.
in fact, you can tune what cells you want to learn in, and by how much (EF only right now).

Yep, the part supplier is now over a week late (hence why I called it 1-2 weeks from the start).
Once the parts arrive we will have some chips available same-day. I'd suggest if you want to put an order in that you do so now so I can ship straight away. Jason

Have been making huge steps in tuning my EL, i make adjustment, take it for a 50k drive, do some 0-100 k runs and record with phone then play it back at home frame by frame comparing time to adjustments. Will send in my final tune when im happy with it. Just wish i had more fuel, to go play with, or an actual dyno Oh last thing, HOW do you upload the 256k bin onto the j3? or does the current chip only support the 64k bins. like a jumper setting or something? i either missed reading it or it wasnt there. |
