That was the claim of the owner of the bin - it's questionable that that's the case. You're best off starting with an XR6 bin if you think the standard shift points are lax - I am quite happy with my fairmont bin, allows me to utilise the torque of the engine rather than being shift happy.

To select another bin you bridge the left two pins of the BANK connector. You do this when both programming and running in the car (no joining files or anything else weird). I think this was answered earlier in the thread, may have to write a guide about this one... :)

Hey Jason have you got live tuning yet? I have seen
the dashboard but is it live so the parameters can be changed whilst on the dyno?

Still working on this -- we were focused on AU J3 support, which should be ready in days (successfully tested). Now when we find time we may switch back to our emulator.

I have said it before and will just mention it now, the fixation on the realtime buzzword can be a money waster unless you have a good reason - i.e. a very extravagant combo that's going to require lots of dyno time. Given the ultra fast burn time of our chips there is little reason for realtime - for example AU-FG flash via the ODBII port is not realtime and takes a lot longer to burn than a J3 but people still get killer results!

Cheers,
Jason

I take it you've followed the install guide and installed the driver?

Send me a PM with the steps you've taken and we'll work it out. Items are hand tested before shipping so I doubt its a device issue.

Cheers,
Jason

Pretty well. Have some chips that are almost ready to ship. Definition may need a bit more work though. Are you after auto or manual? The next step will be collecting suitable bins and making enough defs. The one we have currently is Auto iirc.

Auto or manual?

Send me a PM. You can send it in, but at this stage the only def we have is for an auto ecu (WACD).

Cheers,

Just a general question...

How compatible is one tune to another model running the same ignition system

eg. can a chip that was tuned for an EF 6cyl auto, then work fine 'as is' when used in a NF 6cyl fairlane?

Hi there, I was hoping you could help me out here.

I am converting from a Series 1 AU fairmont GHIA - VCT (AUTO) to a Manual.

I was wondering if a J3 chip with the series 1 XR6 VCT MANUAL program would sort out the ECU problems? If so, do you have on available at the moment, if so how much? if not, when will it be available?

Thanks in advance!

Might have just been the aggressive timing at ~2700 but I felt the "cop" bin sure shifted hard and high. The bin is "6DNB - 98 EL I6 Auto Cop".. I think I had a poke around with a binary diff and saw some stuff there that made me think I could use that to try and reverse engineer some basic def's for it but I got caught up in other things..
Any progress with auto tx defs?
