That's not possible. Do you know what tune is on it? Shoot me a PM.

You may want to check the install guide at http://www.tiperformance.com.au/Technic ... 20Chip.pdf

Cheers,
Jason

Hey Nigel,

If you know the box code, that'd be helpful!

Just ripped the kick panel off - Saved myself some time
I knew I wanted to update the code to EL 185Kw some time if I could.. so I wrote it down on the outside of the ECU.
Ive got 6DGE

I get the SPSS Error when I do codes - but thats because I dont have it. Its a factory error ;)

Sorry Nigel, only Manual.

I can put those spark and fuel tables in an Auto bin though - but I don't have 6DGE, only 6DGD.

Cheers,
Jason

I'm trying to understand how I need to program my J3 to tighten up the shifts. I am assuming that the Transmission Line Pressure controls this, but the data doesn't make much sense to me, though that is probably just me being ignorant. Specifically, I am trying to firm up the 1-2 shift at WOT or close to it, and trying to eliminate the flare/slip on the 2-3 shift under light acceleration. The pics below are of a 4TBD bin using the N4AGB.xdf in TunerPro RT to illustrate. What do I need to change and by how much to achieve what I'm trying to do? Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

That data doesn't make sense to me either!

You'll need to use N4AG9 with that bin.

The same line pressure applies to all shifts. You'll need to up the pressure 5-10% to get a noticable difference in shift feel.

Cheers,
Jason

Hi Jase,

Thanks for that. I have downloaded N4AG9_v14_256K.xdf 21-Feb-2012 20:28 65K from the TI Performance website. But it doesn't seem to have any functionality for the transmission at all. I can't find line pressure, shift points, or TC lockup - but I can see them in N4AGB. What am I missing?

The website seems to indicate that both N4AG xdfs can be used on EF automatics. How are they different?

Thanks for your help.

N4AGB will work with 4DBG. I haven't ported the trans stuff to N4AG9 as I only use that def on the Manual bins. You can port your modified parameters across to a 4DBG bin and play that way, or wait until I have the time to do N4AG9 (may be a while).

Cheers,
Jason

so where do i find the driver for the programmer? the links on your site download either a text file or a PDF which both are useless as a driver... i would have thought it would be easier to find. been looking on there for 2 hours now and nothing

Hi huggiebear,

As per the instructions in the Programmer installation guide, you need to right click on the .inf file (its not a text file) and choose Save Target As, or use the combo msi file. Shouldn't be very hard at all!

Jason
