Thanks bud. We've been doing them for a while now and always aim for the best result. Any feedback we get is incorporated in further tunes we do for similar combos.

Its still always a good idea to throw the car on the dyno, if only to check the AFRs are safe.

Cheers,
Jason

Have you tried powering the ecu externally? Sometimes the voltage drop over the USB cable and ribbon connector is too much and the programmer can't power the ecu well enough to read it. It needs a good clean 5v and some USB ports don't supply enough current.

Cheers,
Jason

That did the trick. Never had to do that before. Dumped a bunch of I6 ECU's before.

Yep, its a funny one. Seems some ECUs draw just a little too much power. Some cause the Programmer to reset for the same reason.

Interested in sharing any of the dumps? My email address is on my site :-)

You're site is full of my dumps (most of the EL I6 ones are from me). I'll send through the new one.

So, we've been pretty busy in our spare time over the past six months, slowly piecing together the parts and working in the garage to do the prep work to put the blower on my brother Simon's test EB Fairmont.

This all started with the purchase of a second hand (and pretty shagged) Powerdyne BD-11a blower kit, along with the parts needed to do a BBM conversion on the EB. We rebuilt the blower from scratch with new bearings, output shaft, and impeller, plus powder coating of the bracket, and fitting all new pulleys. A few shots of the journey:

This weekend we've finished the hard work and got it running! The result:

We have heaps of pics of the build so may put a thread together at a later date. In the mean time, a video of this starting and idling. This is a base tune I put together, to suit the 977b cam and 36lb injectors:

{DESCRIPTION}

As you can see the idle is nice and smooth. So far its making pretty good power, and keeps the EF honest! Both cars will be at the boostedfalcon.net Cruise for Charity next sunday, so if you're in Victoria make sure you come along for your chance to win one of the T.I. Performance major prizes, or just to get a discount voucher and/or stubby holder in your entrant showbag!

Cheers,
Jason

Hey guys,

Great day at today's boostedfalcon.net Cruise for Charity! The weather was perfect, the event was very well organised and there were some ripper cars out and about. We managed to sort out a couple of tunes, and meet a lot of people! We have about 70 pics up on Facebook, but here are a few samples:
