hey guys just finished reading an article in the ford street machine (issue 4 for those playing at home) about programing the fords standard eec it mention a company called tweecer after doin a search i have read that it is only compatible with v8's is this true can someone elaberate? because they where talking about being able to tune i6 aswell basically whats the go? i am currently build a turbo setup for my ef i6 and it al sound very convenient (not having to buy after market stuff that is)

from what i understand, it only supports very few ford V8 ECU's..
those from the sprints for instance can be tuned using tweecer, i don't know of any I6 ECU's that can be done though.

There is minimal support for I6's at the moment, work is being done on it at the moment as far as I am aware however I am not sure if it will have decent support anytime soon. The Tweecer is an excellent tuning tool, one of the best options on the market IMO but its limited support for aussie EECs is a big problem.

so its no go for say an ef i6 did anyone else read the article?? cause i got the impression that it was tuneable[/list]

I doubt the EF I6 is, I believe some earlier EB/ED EEC's have minimal support but the EF coilpack system probably makes it a bit more complex to crack. And I wouldn't rely on anything streetmachine has to say, their fact checking is boarderline at best. If you are interested, give Pete an email at pie@icenet.com.au he is the Australian distributor
