I understand the AU packs are better than EF ones, I have them, fitted straight in.
Maybe early AU but at least series 3 requires the LT plug to be changed. I am not sure that the output is any different but the construction or materials may have changed from EF to overcome the high failure on early EF's. Has anyone tried the newer "coil on plug" coils?
Cheers
TW.

OK call me stupid but what is the LT plug and why do you have to change it if putting the AU coil pack into the EF?
OK , I won't call you stupid, the LT is short for Low Tension as opposed to the HT or High Tension wires that go to the plugs. You need to change the loom side because the AU (III at least) are a diiferent shape and pinout.
Cheers
TW.

What about early AU are the pinouts the same as the EF? If not what do you need to do to change to HT.

I don't know about the early AU, but as I said there is probably no gain to be had in changing from EF to AU, there would be more gain in going to Plug top coils.
