Hi, guys I've got a Supercharged AU2 5.0 V8 LTD and the car hesitates abit when I get on the accelerator so bought a code reader from ebay {DESCRIPTION}

But when I turn my key to On or start the engine and try to communicate with the ECU with my code scanner it says cannot communicate.

Do I have to ground a fuse or press a few things to get in diagnostic mode or something?

Please help I'm desperate to fix this up.

Just had a quick look at the ebay link and it looks like a CAN bus reader? The AU doesn't have that, only BA upwards.

Unfortunately the AUs are not OBD11 compliant and most of the cheaper tools wont work on them.
