Cheers

sounds fun
you will need to get a smart lock by pass module to run that ecu in the xf

Yeah, i've already got one in there, but i'm not getting injector pulse. It has spark, and runs the fuel pump on crank, but, no pulse to any injectors.
They have got power to them, but no neg.

I am yet to wire the TCM yet, so im not sure if that fact it has no gear pos signal makes a difference?

Cheers
David

hmmmmm, when you say there not pulseing do you mean there not squerting fuel, have you changed the fuel pump to a eb v8 one.
when you turn it over can you here the injectors clicking at all

so the smart lock by pass module is hooked up right, conected to pin 4 for the smart lock signal and a ground conected to pin 60 then power to pin 57

I have run the motor on aero-start, and used a noid light to determine the lack of pulse.
The pump runs, and when cranked (or another dissy turned by hand) i have spark, and the fuel pump runs, but no pulse..

I had an EB V8 ecu do exactly this. I was running on LPG (with the power supply to the petrol fuel injectors switched off) so the engine still ran. The trip computer gave an instantaneous fuel usage of 0, which is what tipped me off about the problem. Got home, tried to pull the codes, nothing. No code output, no output at all on the diagnostics wire. I switched in a spare computer, all running well again.

So I thought, why not run the dodgy ecu as I only use LPG anyway. I did this for about 2 days until I realised it was using fuel at a HUGE rate. I guessed it was running fixed timing. So put came the dodgy ecu, perminantly.

I would try a known good smartlock ecu. Maybe try and pull the codes from your ecu first. Just one other thing to check, that your computer is actually a smartlock ecu. Before smartlock was fitted, pin 4 required IDM input from the distributor through a 22k resistor instead.

good luck
