If I disconnect a wiring plug off one of the injectors on my EF I6 and turn the engine over with the starter motor what reading range should read on the multimeter to confirm that the injectors are being told to run?

you should have power on one side when the key is on reds, and nothing on the other, and by nothing I mean no earth, just an open circuit. Then when you crank it you should see the wire that had nothing pulse an earth, or if you have your - going to it and the + on your multimeter going to the other wire that you found power to be on, you will see a voltage spike every second revolution

cheers that's what I thought.; I have one of those injector test lights (ABW brand, they just plug into the wiring loom), but it wasn't lighting up, and I wasn't sure if it was the light (as never been used before) or the injectors.

Ive not used one of those lights before either, however you can use a stethescope, or something like a big screwdriver to hear if the injectors are pulsing, just put it on the injector body, get someone to crank it and stick your ear on the other end of the screwdriver.

yeah the light works now that the BEM issue is solved and so the injectors are now running (they wern't before). But that noise test is handy to know for future as well. cheers.
