Not at all.
Like a lot of us SWC doesn't suffer retards. Be a f**k and expect to be treated as such.
By his own posts the turdnip has no idea what he is talking about , he is only out to stir trouble.
He is a dumb f**k.

I like the wolfy 3d idea because with the el v8 auto has a separate tcm so wolfy has a sub harness for that so it's a fully customisable all in 1 deal

I know someone who bought an aftermarket ECU for a Eseries. I think he had a mild cam, full exhaust and intake on it, intake manifold and head work. I think it was a Microtech??

Anyhow proud as punch had his car on the dyno and it rattles off a 185hp at the wheels? ahhh errr? :x Arent they around the 160hp at the wheels stock? So he gained 25hp or 17kw for probably $2000 in cost?

I can sort of understand why backyarders have a go at tuning them. They know there is not much left in them and wont spend good money to gain a few kw. May as well save a few bucks add a little timing and thats that.

Looks like your mate spent too much when the ti stuff is very affordable + it sounds like he needs to learn how to tune his s**t properly.

Once again you know someone.
Seriously you know more people then Molly Meldrum.
This piece of epic Australian Music pretty much sums you up.

Anyway, if I tuned my pretty much stock E series, this simply isn't going to happen

Seriously...WTF?? I've been mucking around with cars since 1973, like lots of the older people on this site I've tuned my own cars from that day to this. NEVER blown a motor up....made em go faster, run better, even better economy but never blown one up. To say that people are ` suddenly ' tuning their own cars says more about OP's lack of knowledge than anything else....

One of the dumbest statements made by the OP is `
I've never heard of a quarterhorse? Strange name for a tuning device. '
Really?? The term quarterhorse pre-dates the motor car!! It describes a horse bred for sprinting from a standstill...over a quarter of a mile.....any clues yet as to why they used that name? Early drag racers used the term ( you know, drag racers, the guys that sprint from a standstill over a quarter of a mile?) to describe their cars..

So you have a term at the very root of early drag racing (you know, that sport where people tune their own cars for more speed) - and you think its a strange term to use??

Using a Qh on the v8 el automatic is useless because as I said the 8 uses a TCM aka transmission control module that sits under the steering colum, so a QH will only do half the job,it is clear turnip that you really don't know what your talking about and in the grand scheme of things the 3d can be taken from a ford to a Ferrari with a simple harness change. And everything in between
