Anyone know which colour wire is the 12V constant power, Accessories power and On Ignition Power on EF i6 ignition key switch?

I think the Red/Dark Green might be accessories power as the Ford manual shows it going to the HEGO on the Fuse Link Box, it also runs to a power Relay, Radio Supp, Camshaft Sensor and Ignition Module.

Just get a multimeter and probe each pin with key off, acc, and ign.

Volume 3 diagram 21-2-3.
IGN: ACC: Constant: Start: Let's see your answers. Yellow isn't IGN by the way. Red/green isn't ACC either. The more practice you get, the better you'll be.

Actually, that would be a good exercise for you TWR.
Identify what each wire is by resistance check (without using a wiring diagram). Then verify them by using the reference from your shop manuals I've listed above. Then post back here. So put your thinking cap on . . . You'll learn more from that than just asking us point blank what everything is. I don't mind giving you hints - but you need to make an effort though.

ahh who was to say I was right or wrong, considering I have melted many wires in my car btw what is that green wire for?
While I'm at it I don't know what type of drug they were smoking in the 60's but it certainly dictated how they put their wiring together. I have the unique problem of my left hand indicator coming on when the parking lights go on but the wiring for the indicator is completely isolated from the parking light circuit. And I still have a "leak" in the system somewhere coz the battery is slowly draining away *sigh* |

I've been staring at 21-2-7 trying to work it out! Cheers. BK-Y (Black-Yellow) must be accessories power as it goes to cigarete lighter and radio. Yeloow must be constant as it goes t0 the exterior lights which can be turned on whenc ars off and to the hazard lights. Red-Dark Blue must be start as it goes to start and charge systemn. Leaving Red-Dark Green for the ignition. |
