Lol !
Ahhhh another change I need to make to my workshop manual....

Geez, after spending a damm fortune on these books, you would think that ford actually knew what they were doing to their own cars on the production line !

The BEM wiring I have for EFIIs are completely incorrect.
Theres no information about the "FAKE" passenger airbag Resistor for EFI's, even though the Airbag system supports 2 airbags....
Plus many other hair wrenching ommisions...
And now we find another one

Jaycar also have a female connector, hav a look here

http://www1.jaycar.com.au/productResult ... RM=KEYWORD

if a group buy is done i may be able to get them for around $23 for 5+ or around $21.50 for 10+ , not a lot but a small difference that could be better spent on fuel....

does anyone know what was in the article refered to in the jaycar site about the OBD II diagnostic plug. also the plug I got out of the car at the wreckers was $2 not $30 and came with coloured wires that almost match the loom. much cheeper if your inclined to get your hands dirty.

OBD II is onboard diagnostics 2... the 'newer' generation of diagnostic equipment... EFI Falcons up to EL were OBD I (the "flashing light" method)... AU onwards were OBD II which basically uses a scan tool to retrieve information from the ECU.
