Anyone know of a reasonably priced Wide band O2 guage/ meter? I have a Bosch LSU 4 sensor and a Autometer A/R guage but apparently this guage wont read wide band so I need a new guage/ meter.
Anything available? |

Have you got the control module for the UEGO?

Cheers man, no I dont have it, but i spose if I need one I can get it from a VW wrecker somewhere.
Cheapest I know of is $600 from the states, or a grand to have one made here... I wish there was a program available then I could just use my lap top. The wolf i use has an 02 readout, bar graph style but theres only 2 wires to it so that sugests narrow band... the latest wolf does wide band so maybe I might end up having to upgrade... hmmm |

Its not the guage you need, you need a control unit for the sensor, and then probably a suitable display unit too. You can get the techedge ones from http:\\wbo2.com I run one of those in my car and find it great, makes tuning very easy and no need for a dyno anymore. You have to get the control unit (the expensive part) and that can then output 0-5v wideband 0-1v narrow band or wideband raw data.

What sort of signal is your EEC-IV receiving? 0-1v narrow band?

Correct 0-1v Narrow band. What I have done is replace the stock o2 sensor with the wideband and then wired the EEC to the narrow band output of the control box. This way the EEC still recieves its input and I also have wideband dash display and datalogging via the Tweecer. |

Can you adjust the sensor output signal from these units so that you can tune your closed loop with it, that leave the open loop settings up to an AFPR?

Running the narrowband output they work exactly the same as the stock sensor, its just that they give you a true wideband AF ratio reading too via the display which makes it very easy to tune aftermarket computers or keep an eye on engine problems etc. |

Techedge do the 2E0 wideband for $550 which are decent units, or the DIY-2A0 for under $500 but then you need to solder it up and trust me its a lot of work. |

Narrow bands are only accurate at around 14.7 and is used by factory computers as a target ratio and for comparison to set trims etc. Wideband like used on dynos gives accurate readings over the entire AF ratio range and is needed for tuning aftermarket systems.
