You could think about behind the numberplate... like the XF's used to have. I have no idea how complicated this would be, but it'd be hidden and convienient - No need to remember which side the filler is on when it's in the middle!! :?

What id like to see, is someone use the original filler, and place a second one on the drivers side, and then route the gas filler to there. Shouldn't be too hard, but you'd need someone to know what theyre doing! Probably cost an arm and thee legs too

Dare I ask why you don't like having it next to the petrol filler?

you couldn't use the number plate as it is fixed to the boot - it goes up!! lol .,.. I appreciate the sardine principle too I hate it as well but it is the neatest and less obvious way of having it done. I hate the big chrome filler plug on the side of the dual fuel cars...

on both my LPG EB's the filler is in the same location as the petrol.

In one case the petrol tank has been removed, so its no issue at all.

The other car is (erm, was) dual fuel.. and I have no problems filling with either petrol or LPG.

I'll take some pics if I remember.

You either have huge hands (as mine arn't small) or they've installed it dodgey on the car. Your hands would have to be 5cm's fat to even come close to scraping on mine.

There's no problem with the filler on the fords, I had it like that on my EA. Back then this type of filler was just coming in, in fact the installer hadn't heard of it being available for the wagon. I also had no trouble with filling either petrol or gas. The Gas filler stuck out a bit further than the petrol one an this made it easy to screw the nozzle on. The petrol was not a problem as the petrol nozzle is longer and therefore you hands get near the the gas filler.

It was the only way I would allow them to do the install, chopping a hole in the bumper or guard was not an option.
