havent heard of a v6 in a ke. sounds like a pain in the a** to put in too.

as stated a KF turbo motor in a KE f**k hauls. do some pwr/weight calcs. i think you'll find you can make a cheap a** laser in to a lotus exsuge with a motor swap. & believe me, very impressive for a little crap box

KC & KE are virtually identical and see previous pic for V6 in a KC. Can be done, just don't ask me how.

Try searching for 'Mazda B6T' (1.6L KC/KE TX3 turbo EFI engine, 100kw stock) or 'Mazda BPT' (1.8L KF/KH TX3 turbo EFI engine, 117kw stock)
Anything exotic like a v6 or 13b (nice as it would be) WILL be a headache to fit and cost big $$. The TX3 engines are a relatively straightforward fit by comparison.

The KN/Q series 1.6L (Mazda ZM-DE) produces 97kw in stock form v the 53kw your KC/E series (Mazda B6) carby fed (I'm guessing) engine had when new, so yes there is a good sized power gain. But as the figures I quoted earlier show, using the B6T or BPT engines from the earlier series will give you more due to the turbo. Either way you will (if yours IS carby fed at the moment) have to convert to EFI. Meaning you'll need the engine, engine wiring loom, E.C.U. (engine computer), and electric fuel pump and probably fuel tank as well. Best bet would be to find a complete car being wreaked and transfer everything off it to your car.

believe me mate, a 1.8 worked with a upspeced cooler & massive tune will haul on a little car like that. Ive heard 200kw block thrown around, conservative. thing fits in easy as & no extra engineering certs like you'll require with an exotic block. failing this, no one on this site knows as we're mainly falcon people here

When I was younger I had a KF TX3 Turbo, a mate of mine also had one, he had spent a bucket load on it. Made 250KW @ all 4, Had a Familia GTR Motor, High-Flowed GTR Turbo, S7 RX7 Injectors, Motec Engine Management, Dogbox with extremely close Ratios (so close its top speed was only around 150km/h, plus all the usual FMIC, CAI etc. Pulled 12.5 down the 1/4 and sold for around the 18k mark
