Hey guys i recently purchased a KH laser, 5 speed manual, sedan, 100-xxx ks on the clock for $500 bux. She's a 93 model (i think) with the 1.6 Carby engine. Goes alright for what she is, but as i'm using it for a work car just until i get enough cash for a new car, is there anyway to give her a bit more, oomph? I was thinking of throwing on an exhaust and maybe a bigger carby but i'm not sure as i've never owned a carby car before

an xf carby with 30/32 weber fit on these with an adapter you can buy off ebay, if you can source the parts from a wreckers can be quiet cheap.
i once saw a kit on ebay for about $300 for a side draft weber, that was included everything you need to install it.

alternatively if you can find a TX3 or BG Astina SP the 1.8 dohc efi drops straight in

I just bought a KF Laser. All went sweet on the maiden voyage home, till about 3 kms from home when it started playing up. I'll have your carby if your gonna change it. I was thinking the 95 premium might have something to do with it, but i did 45 kms no worries ( tank was nearly empty )
