hey guys jst wondering...mums got a 2007 yaris and its only ever one tyre that wears...could this be to do with the camber or suspension?
any suggestion would be greatful

Where are you getting a wheel alignment from. Is it from a tyre joint (i.e. Bob Jane etc) or a suspension mob? If it is a tyre shop, go to a suspension place. Alot of tyre shops set up wheel alignments to wear tyres, getting you back there faster.

sounds like camber more than likely, take it to a suspension place. Doubt anyone would purposely put the alignment out to get more business, but having said that - there are some dodgys out there! Tyre shops are more likely to rush the job and get it roughly good enough but a steering and suspension joint generally spend the time to get it right since it's their profession.

I'd be leaning towards a combo of Positive camber, and excessive Toe angles.

Excessive toe would effect passenger side too, so it depends how well that's wearing. Since the issue adressed is drivers side I'd say it has to be positive camber causing the problem.

Excessive toe will only affect both sides if they are set up equally. It IS possible to have more toe on one wheel than the other.

If you set the toe up with one side at say -4mm and the other at +2mm then the steering wheel will be down to one side since the car will automatically try to even the wheels up - effectively driving you along at -1mm each side.

unless you're talking about the rear toe in which case it will wear unevenly and create a pull to one side due to the thrust angle. Front toe will centralise and throw out the steering wheel otherwise you'll just steer off the road
