Hi,

I have a EL Fairmont Ghia, auto, 3.45 diff, tickford motor, extractors, 2.5inch system, high flow cat, k&N filter and AU XR snorkel

I ran it up and down a street with a stop watch, took a two way average of 6.98 seconds 0-100km/h

I did the same with Brothers EL Futura, auto, 2.5inch exhaust only, k&N panel filter it did a two way average of 8.46 seconds.

I did the same with a VS Commodore, full standard, did two way average of 8.37secs

Are these times, good, poor. All done on the same day, same street, 10 minutes apart. What times do you guys achieve with similar mods. My EB V8 does it in 5.7 secs

Stopwatch timing is very inaccurate.

Your eb must have a fair few mods to get a 5.7!

Last time i checked my 0-100 was 6.1s, but i cant do it consistently - it needs to hook up well to get it

Stopwatch timing can give a ballpark time. Im usually very close if I do the same car a few times.

EB has some nice little mods to it. It does 5.7secs pretty consistently.

Im really happy about the EL Ghia though 0-100km/h in under 7 secs, that will be good enough to slap a few V8s across the face.

Is the EL futura a little off the pace or the Ghia just running well??

would a 5.7 0-100 time not corrispond to a low 14 second pass? ie about 14.2?

If all you've got is extractors and a zorst and you're pullin 6.6 on a g-tech, then either the G-tech is generous or you have one VERY fit EL :)

I have a JMM DEV3HL kit, with extractors, s/s exhaust and a hi flo cat and the best "hand time" time I have got is about a 6.5....

I think we would all find that our hand timed times are all a little generous...

Still, it's gangs of fun though :)

Be nice to have access to a drag stip...

What the hell have you done to your EB V8???

5.7 is quicker than ANY stock Falcon ever built and on par with the F6...
