Hi guys just bought a 2002 ba xr6 and everytime i take off there is a vibration coming from the rear. Ive been told its the rear diff bushes but just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem. It only happens when first taking off not in any other gear when you put your foot down(driving normally i dont drive fast). Both me & the wife seem to notice it even more with the aircond on????. Also for the first time today after driving it everyday it turned over for 3-4 seconds but wouldnt start. So we turned it off then turned the key & started perfect & ran perfect. So i left it for a while then tried a few different times & started perfect and ran perfect each time???? Any ideas on either????

The diff bushes do fail in the b series, it is common, they also wear out the diff cradle bushes and then the cradle hits up the fuel tank.
As for the hard start dunno. Have you looked at the harmonic Ballancer whilst running, if it's wobbaling it could probably cause a crank angle sensor error may be the problem. |
